Before you choose

A closer look.
A clear answer.

A few things to know about the stones and buying direct. For a question about a particular piece, Conan is only a message away.

What does “freestyle” mean?

The cut follows the colour and natural form of the stone. Each piece is shaped individually, rather than cut to a repeated template.

What kinds of opal are listed?

Freestyle Opal works with Australian boulder and crystal opal. Each listing shows its type, weight in carats, dimensions in millimetres, and price in Australian dollars.

Why show the stones on video?

Opal can look different as the angle and light change. Play the listing video for a fuller view of the colour and shape. Screens and lighting can affect appearance; ask for another view if you need one.

How do I buy a stone?

Open the stone to see its details. When online checkout is available, the claim button takes you to Stripe for card payment. Otherwise, use the enquiry link to contact Conan directly.

What does “held at checkout” mean?

Someone has started checkout for that stone. It stays unavailable until payment is confirmed or the checkout expires. If you leave checkout and need help, contact Conan before trying again.

Where can an online order be sent?

Online checkout currently accepts Australian delivery addresses. For delivery arrangements, costs, timing, or an overseas enquiry, contact Conan before purchasing.

Can I see a stone in person?

If you are in Cairns, contact Conan to discuss a viewing. Please arrange it first.

How should I care for the stone?

Ask Conan for care advice for your specific stone. Avoid knocks, harsh chemicals and sudden changes of temperature, and store it securely when it is not being handled.

What if I have a question after buying?
